Limescale shower

Lime deposits in the shower are very annoying. Lime particles settle on the wall, shower door and tap: it looks ugly and is also bad for the material. You can prevent limescale in the shower with our tips.

Clean regularly

By regularly cleaning the shower you prevent limescale from building up. If lime does not have a chance to adhere to surfaces, your shower will remain free of limescale. This does mean that you have to clean everything regularly. You spend at least an hour on it every week and you use a lot of cleaning products. In places you cannot reach, regular cleaning is not even a solution against limescale. For example, consider the inside of the shower head.

Keep dry

When water dries and the lime residue adheres to the surface, you get limescale. You can prevent this by keeping the shower area dry. Make sure that water in the shower does not remain on the floors and walls: use a large squeegee for the floor and a small squeegee for the walls and shower door.

Prevent limescale with an anti-limescale system

Cleaning and keeping it dry partly helps prevent limescale, but when it comes to the shower head and small corners, you cannot avoid it. You can ensure that the limescale in the water can no longer adhere to the parts: with the Amfa4000® you ensure that the magnesium and calcium particles cannot bond and you reduce limescale on your appliances. Thanks to the savings on cleaning products and energy costs, you can recoup your investment within a year!
