Prevent limescale

Can you prevent limescale deposits? Yes! It saves a lot of time and money when limescale does not have a chance to adhere to surfaces. Below you can read about the different ways to prevent limescale in your bathroom, shower, toilet, water boiler and washing machine.

Clean regularly

By regularly cleaning your bathroom, kitchen and toilet you prevent a layer of limescale from building up. This does mean that you have to clean all tiles, taps and sinks weekly with cleaning agent. This is a lot of work and you spend money on cleaning products. In addition, regular cleaning is not possible in places that you cannot reach, such as the inside of the water pipe.

Keep dry

Limescale is the result of lime particles that remain when water dries. By keeping the bathroom and kitchen surfaces dry, you prevent limescale deposits. Make sure that no water remains on the shower door or tap, for example. Wipe the shower wall with a squeegee and wipe the sink with a cloth after using the tap to ensure that limescale does not stand a chance. Unfortunately, this solution also does not help with limescale deposits in appliances, such as the heating element of the washing machine.

Prevent limescale with an anti-limescale system

With an Amfa4000® anti-limescale system you ensure that limescale cannot adhere to surfaces, making cleaning and keeping it dry a thing of the past.
